We have been following the story of the brand new sequence of online game TV present GamesMaster for some time now, from the preliminary rumours to the affirmation that Scottish comedian Robert ‘Rab’ Florence could be the principle presenter. Now, we will reveal that the competitors segments of the present will likely be filmed at Crossness Pumping Station in London, due to a tweet by certainly one of Florence’s co-presenters, Frankie Ward.
The pumping station was constructed between 1859 and 1865 by William Webster with the purpose of upgrading London’s overstretched sewerage system. Architectural historian Nikolaus Pevsner described it as “a Victorian cathedral of ironwork”, which sounds quite good. You may recognise the situation from the 2009 film Sherlock Holmes.
Earlier GamesMaster sequence has been filmed at Sunbury Pumphouse, St Paul’s Church (Dock Avenue, London), Oxford Jail and Clerkenwell Home of Detention.
