The Patch Aiming to Fix Konami’s eFootball Has Been Delayed

After eFootball’s calamitous launch, Konami promised a patch, 0.9.1 to repair lots of the reported points. Sadly, that repair has now been delayed to early November.

Initially scheduled for October 28, Konami has now introduced on Twitter that fixes will not arrive till an unspecified date in early November.

The tweet reads: “We want to inform all customers that we have now determined to delay the discharge of model 0.9.1 to early November. We sincerely apologise for the delay and the inconvenience brought on. Our hope is that the extra time taken will enable us to make sure the expertise is improved for all of our customers.

“We’ll announce the date and particulars of the fixes as quickly as they’re confirmed. Within the meantime, we’ll proceed to work on bettering the sport and sit up for working with you on eFootball 2022.”

The launch model of eFootball, which Konami had billed as primarily a demo of the sport to return, launched with a spread of issues, together with glitches, poor AI, and a few wildly inaccurate participant fashions. Our evaluation in progress mentioned that “eFootball has numerous work left to do on the pitch to make folks really need to play it within the first place,” giving it a provisional rating of three/10.

eFootball is a full rebrand of the long-running Professional Evolution Soccer collection, dropping annual paid releases for a free-to-play construction. It isn’t been a promising begin to that new period.
